Directions from Emerald Isle / Atlantic Beach or Morehead City areas:

  • Drive Highway 58 South/Salter Path Road to the Atlantic Beach Causeway.
  • Turn left and continue across the Atlantic Beach Bridge.
  • At the stoplight, turn right onto US-70 East / Arendell Street; continue following US-70 East.
  • Once across the Beaufort drawbridge, turn right at the first stoplight onto Turner Street.
  • Follow Turner Street until it ends at Front Street. The Somerset Square building is straight ahead (you’ll see our sign).
  • Take a left for parking on Front Street or you can park on Turner Street.

Directions from Cedar Island / Downeast:

  • Head South on NC 12 / Cedar Island Road.
  • Continue straight onto US 70 West. Follow US 70 West for about 25 miles.
  • Once in the Beaufort city limits, turn left onto Turner Street and follow it until it ends at Front Street. The Somerset Square building is straight ahead (you’ll see our sign).
  • Take a left for parking on Front Street or you can park on Turner Street

All parking is FREE, with NO time limits from the Tuesday after Labor Day to the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend.

Memorial Day to Labor Day

All off-Front Street parking is FREE, with NO time limits from the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Monday.

  • On Front Street, the rate is $1/hr on all numbered parking spots, excluding handicap/motorcycle/golf cart spaces.
  • Paid Parking takes place 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
  • Includes both waterfront parking lots and ALL marked spaces.
  • There are NO time limits. Pay & Stay.
  • All Front Street parking spaces are numbered and twelve (12) Pay to Park solar powered kiosks are installed along Front Street.
  • Look for Pay Here signs to find kiosks.
  • The kiosks are covered after the season.
  • Machines accept coins and credit cards, no paper bills.
  • Customers enter their parking space number and pay for as much time as they want.
  • Additional payments can be made by credit card at any kiosk, or by smart phone.
  • All proceeds after expenses will go towards downtown streetscaping improvements.
